The NST Clinical Training Manual is a comprehensive, self-directed training resource for licensed clinicians learning the Neurocontextual Systems Therapy framework. It is written to be immediately applicable — by the time you finish, you will be able to administer and interpret the NFMS assessment, complete an NST-specific intake, build a case formulation, write a treatment plan, and structure sessions across all four treatment phases.
The manual covers 16 sections organized into a full clinical arc: conceptual foundations, assessment, intake and formulation, treatment planning, session structure, interventions, narrative repair, documentation, couples and specialized populations, ethics, and long-term fidelity. NST is a newer framework, theoretically grounded and built from well-established principles, but not yet validated through randomized controlled trials. The manual models the epistemic humility that responsible use of a developing framework requires.
